This Privacy Policy explains how VINISION ApS ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the VINTO mobile application ("App").
VINISION ApS is a Danish private limited company (CVR 45316122) with registered address Danas Plads 24, 3. th, 1915 Frederiksberg C, Denmark.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Data Controller
VINISION ApS is the data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data under applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. Personal Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account information, including email address and internal user ID
- Information about your wine collections, including names, structure, locations, and estimated values
- Information about individual wines you register or scan
- Images you upload or scan in the App
- Behavioral and usage data, including how you interact with the App and which features you use
- A taste profile derived from the wines in your collection (for example preferred regions, producers, grapes, and typical price range), used to show you relevant partner offers
- Technical data such as device type, operating system, and app performance data
4. Images and AI Processing
Images you scan or upload may be processed and stored by us. These images may be used for:
- Identifying and displaying wines within the App
- Improving our image recognition and AI models
- Training and optimizing our internal systems
Do not upload images you do not want processed or used for these purposes.
5. Purpose of Processing
We process your data for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the VINTO App
- To manage and display your wine collections
- To estimate and track the value of wines and collections
- To improve, develop, and optimize the App and its features
- To analyze user behavior and usage patterns
- To show you relevant offers from partner wine retailers based on your taste profile
- To communicate with you regarding the App
6. Behavioral Data and Analytics
We collect behavioral and usage data to understand how users interact with the App. This data is used to improve functionality, user experience, and performance.
Behavioral data may be aggregated and anonymized before further use.
7. Personalised Advertising from Partners
VINTO may show you advertisements and offers from partner wine retailers inside the App. To make these relevant rather than generic, we build a taste profile from the wines in your collection — for example which regions, producers, and grapes you tend to own, and your typical price range — and use it to select which partner offers to show you.
How this works in practice:
- Your taste profile is generated and used by us; we do not share your individual collection data or identity with partner retailers in order to target ads.
- Partners provide their offers to us; we decide which ones match your profile. The partner does not see who you are unless you choose to act on an offer.
- We record advertising interactions (such as whether an offer was shown, viewed, or tapped) to measure relevance and frequency, and to limit how often you see ads.
- We apply frequency limits so advertising stays infrequent and unobtrusive.
- Premium subscribers do not receive advertisements. Subscribing removes partner ads entirely.
You can object to personalised advertising or withdraw your consent at any time in the App's settings or by contacting us. If you opt out, we stop using your taste profile to personalise offers.
8. Data Sharing and Commercial Use
We may share aggregated and anonymized data with third parties, including commercial partners such as retailers, supermarkets, or market research partners.
This data does not identify individual users directly.
9. Insurance Partnerships
We cooperate with insurance companies to assist with valuation of wine collections.
If your insurance company has a valid data-sharing agreement with us, we may disclose information about the value of your wine collection to that insurer for insurance-related purposes.
10. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract (providing the App and its services)
- Your consent (where required, including for personalised advertising based on your taste profile)
- Legitimate interests, such as improving our services and conducting analytics
- Compliance with legal obligations
11. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
12. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:
